Most groups welcome anyone from any church - realizing that different meeting days or evenings are better for some than others.  It is also a great opportunity to study and pray with people from other congregations.

Below you will find the groups meeting in our Diocese.  Use the form at the bottom of this page to request contact with the Coordinator.  For more information about a specific group, contact a mentor below:

  • Asheboro -
    • Good Shepherd's new Rector, The Rev. Barbara Cooke, will form a new EfM group in the Fall of 2010, and will welcome participation from area churches in our diocese!  E-mail Barbara to find out more information.

       
  • Burlington -
    • Holy Comforter is forming a new group to begin in the Fall, 2010, with Interim Rector Pamela Webb as mentor.
       
  •  Cary-
    • Co-mentors Martha Waters and Georgie Gracie can be contacted for information.  

 

  •  Chapel Hill
    • Contact Verlene Kuoni for information about the group she mentors in Chapel Hill.  This group is full for the 2010-11 year.
    • Mona Arnold also has an ecumenical group in the Chapel Hill area.  You can e-mail her for more information.

 

  •  Charlotte -
    • St. Martin's Church - Contact Armand LaValee at 704-376-8441.
    • St. John's Church - E-mail Ted Kratt for information about the new group he is forming for Fall, 2010 
    • Christ Church - Contact Lois Ann Partridge for information.

 

  • Greensboro -
    • St. Andrew's Church - has students from area churches on Monday evenings at 6:30.  Contact Marcia Moore or Mark Courtright for information.   
    • St. Barnabas - Contact the Rev. Randall Keeney for information. This group meets Sundays at 6 pm.
    • St. Francis' Church has a group led by the rector, The Rev. Michael Moulden, and meets Tuesdays at 12:30 pm.
    • Holy Trinity has a day time group, meeting on Tuesdays at 9:30 am.  E-mail Monnie Compton for more information.

       
  • Hillsborough
    St. Matthew's Church - Hugh Tilson  mentors the group in Hillsborough, which meets Mondays at 6:30.  The class is full for the 2010-2011 year, but Hugh will be forming a new group in the Fall of 2011. 
  • Mooresville -
  • Raleigh -
    • Christ Church - Contact David Lynch, for information.
    • Church of the Nativity - contact John Cannon for information about the group that meets.
    • St. Michael's Church - contact Paul Elliott for information. 
  • Rocky Mount
    • Church of the Good Shepherd is beginning a new group in the Fall, 2010 with Marion Stoga as the mentor.  Please contact Stephanie Allen, Assistanct Rector for information.
       
  • Salisbury 
    • The Rev. Armand LaVallee has agreed to commute one evening a week to begin a new group in this area.  Contact Shelley Kappauf, diocesan EfM coordinator, if you are interested in joining this group.
       
  •  Sandhills Cluster  -
    • Joan Hoover mentors this seminar group of students from the Sandhills area.  Contact Joan for information.   
  • Smithfield -
    • A group is at St.. Paul's Church, Dick Hawk can be contacted via e-mail or contact St. Paul's via e-mail, or by phone at 919-934-2675 for information. 
  • Statesville  -
    • Co-mentors Nancy Davis and Herbert Lawton have an ecumenical group which meets on Tuesday evenings. Reach Nancy  at her e-mail or at 704-873-7293. 
  •  Wilson
    • St. Timothy's Church - Contact Amber Keithley , or call 252-290-1352 for information on the group she mentors. 
  • Winston-Salem -
    • St. Paul's Church - Co-mentors Chip Morgan and Stacy Holley can be contacted for information.  A second group meets with Genie Carr and Sue Kendall, as well.
    • St. Timothy's Church - Contact Beth Bealle or Joe Carruthers for information on the new group formed.
    • St. Anne's Church - Contact Ron Sigrist for the group he mentors.
