Fred L. Horton  

Fred L. Horton is the John Thomas Albritton Professor of the Bible at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina (AB), Union Theological Seminary in New York City (BD) and Duke University (PhD). His interests include Jewish backgrounds of the New Testament, Gnosticism, Semitic languages, and archaeology. He has conducted excavations at Caesarea Maritima and Tell el-Hesi.

 

 

Celia Brewer Sinclair

Celia B. Sinclair is a Lecturer for the Department of Religious Studies at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, North Carolina.Her areas of expertise include Hebrew Bible, History of Hermeneutics, Theodicy and the Problem of Evil. Her publications are A Guide Through the Old Testament, A Guide Through the New Testament (Westminster/John Knox Press), and Genesis (Geneva Press).
